How the money works

When you tap a Buy button on WhyDidIBuyThis.in, you're taken to a merchant's site (Flipkart, Amazon.in, Myntra and others) through a tracked affiliate link. If you end up buying, the merchant pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway— the commission comes out of the merchant's marketing budget, not your wallet.

Whose programs we use

We earn through affiliate programs run by the merchants we link to and the affiliate networks they work with. The list changes as we add and remove merchants, so we don't name each one here. Your experience on the merchant's site is identical either way.

About the prices you see

Prices on this site are indicative. Each one is shown with the date we last checked it (the little "checked 12 Aug" note), because Indian e-commerce prices move faster than festival traffic. The final price is always the one on the merchant's site at checkout — that's the one that counts.

Does this change what we recommend?
